PJ Agbay went to the same college as me. Look at how we turned out
Paolo Jay is our guest on Hats.FM -which you've may have heard him on Wear Many Hats. PJ is a photographer, a copywriter, and has his own studio, Agbay.
WMH: You’ve been crushing since leaving your full time corporate job. You’re also very vocal about sticking it to the man. Tell me more about why you hate it?
I wouldn’t say I hate it but I do understand that there is a disconnect of capitalism practices and lifestyle to being a human fucking being. America is a greedy ass mfing country and if you have to play the game of capitalism and live the “American Dream” entrupenurship is the best way in my opinion.
WMH: What made you do the switch to photography as a full time freelancer?
Photography is just my vehicle to translate my ideas. The switch to full-time freelance was more of a choice that I couldn’t pass on because everything that I did prior lead to it.
WMH: You’ve been a guest at colleges and recently on the Philly news. What do you wish you could say if it couldn’t be bleeped out?
Be careful what you wish for sometimes. The hardest part about all the attention is learning that if it’s truly what you want or not.
WMH: What’s your favorite meal to eat? To make?
I love breakfast. Making pancakes is kinda meditative.
WMH: What is your coffee order and drink at the bar?
Cappuccino with some caramel.
WMH: What is the restaurant you frequent and get?
Caphe Roasters in good ol Kensington. My main things I get there are the Gritty Khang and their Bac Xiu.
WMH: Favorite camera and what’s in the arsenal at the moment?
I just bought my first ever canon. I’ve been shooting with the Canon T90 recently.
WMH: Thanks PJ for coming on hats.fm part of Wear Many Hats, what would you get embroidered on a WMH hat?
“Yessirski”
Thanks PJ for coming on Hats.FM of Wear Many Hats.
